Azumio is happy to announce a new calorie counter and proprietary food database now available in Argus. This feature opens a new realm of capabilities for Argonauts to reach or maintain their ideal weight.
To begin, enter your current weight, goal weight, and how quickly you want to reach that goal. Argus will then calculate your daily calorie budget based on your lifestyle, goal, and body metrics. This budget is then adjusted when you log your food.
GPS-tracked activities and video guided workouts are also incorporated into the calorie budget in real-time, giving users the tools they need to stay informed and on-track with their goals.
To log food, simply click “+” and search the proprietary database. This accurate, verified and independently sourced database includes items from restaurant chains around the country. These food items, which have been verified directly from the restaurants, have a green check mark next to the name, giving users confidence they are getting an accurate calorie count.
Can’t find a food item? Simply scan the barcode, and it will be automatically added. If you still can’t find the food, users can create their own unique and customizable food items. If you are in a hurry, the quick add option allows you to add the the number of calories in a meal without having to log each individual item. Premium users are also able to add the macronutrients (fat, carbs, and protein) of a meal with the quick add option.
If you often eat the same foods and meals, the paste option makes it easier to log food quickly and get on with your day. For those who make their meals from recipes, you have the ability to add your recipe. Argus will then save it for you, so you don’t have to keep adding each individual item over and over.
Just add all the ingredients once and every time you have that meal, all you have to do is log the serving size you consumed. Premium users are able to save an unlimited number of recipes, so there’s no need to pick just your favorites. Argonauts using the free version are able to save a maximum of five recipes.
Argus gives users the necessary tools to quantify their day. The same is true for the new calorie feature. You can easily get insights into your nutrition. Users are now able to see charts on their calorie, fat, carb, and protein intake. Argonauts can then use this information to their advantage to make adjustments to their nutrition and reach their goals.
Since Argus has the capability to track your activity, there is no need to have other apps to keep track of your lifestyle. Any activities recorded in Argus will automatically count toward your calorie budget for the day, giving users an accurate view of their daily without goal manually having to log calories burned during exercise in the calorie tracking portion.
Combined with Argus’ integrated smart alarm system and heart rate monitor, pedometer, 30 GPS trackable activities, and video guided workouts, this new calorie function gives you the ability to track your progress as well as set and achieve goals so you can do more with your lives.
What are you waiting for? Try it out now!
Premium is available for $4.99 monthly or $29.99 annually.
Download Argus for free on the App store or Google Play.
Please note some features are iOS only.

Is there any way to turn off the American fast food crap? "Fast food" is NOT food. You know that. And when do we get a German food database?
Terrible it is way out of touch I use my Fittness pal much better 2 million pick from around the world
I remember when Fitness Pal started out and the menu was very limited as well. I think with time it will build. My concern lies mainly with the Fitness buddy app and how it fails to record any data to the daily tracker.
Hope they can catch up with fitness pal 🏥🏥🏥🏥
I agree with all the previous comments. The scanning facility needs to be upgraded to actually add the barcode. That said, I eat home cooked meals so want to easily add "metric" portions of meat and fish and a handful of mixed vegetables, plain rice or beans. I make my own overnight oatmeal/bircher muesli and it's impossible to calculate the calories from all the ingredients.
We need to detox,
